Have you ever had one of those moments that make you stop and think, This. This is why I do this work?
Recently, while waiting in line at Nordstrom Rack, I had one of those moments. A mother and her tall, confident daughter recognized me from a class they took ten years ago.
Yes—ten years ago.
"Your class set the foundation for years of amazing conversations with my daughters," the mom shared. Her daughter, now twenty, added how the class helped her feel prepared and comfortable with puberty and her first period.
This chance encounter crystallized everything we strive for at Birds & Bees
🐝 We build relationships that stand the test of time. We're all about growing confidence and communication skills for both kids AND parents.
The mom smiled and said, "Your class set the foundation for years of amazing conversations with my daughters."
Her daughter, now twenty, chimed in: "I felt prepared. I knew what to expect. My first period wasn’t scary—it was just another step in growing up."
That one class, all those years ago, wasn’t just about puberty—it was about building lifelong confidence and open communication. And here they were, a decade later, still feeling the impact.
Because one class isn’t just one moment—it’s the start of something bigger.
💛 We create confidence that lasts. A single conversation can shape how a child feels about their changing body for years to come.
🗣️ We make tough talks easier. When parents and kids start talking early, those chats about growing up feel natural—not awkward.
🌱 We build relationships that grow over time. When families learn together, they create a foundation of trust that extends far beyond puberty.
Every time we host a class, start a conversation, or create a safe space for learning, we’re doing more than educating—we’re changing the way families talk about growing up.
That unexpected Nordstrom moment reminded me of what we believe at Birds & Bees Connection:
💡 Puberty isn’t just a phase—it’s a celebration.
💡 Knowledge isn’t just power—it’s confidence.
💡 Conversations aren’t just one-time talks—they’re lifelong connections.
Because ten years from now, it could be you and your child looking back on a moment that made all the difference.
